- Pultrusion is a continuous molding process using fiberglass reinforcement
in thermosetting
resin matrices.
- Reinforcement materials, such as fiberglass
roving or mat are drawn through a resin bath in
which
the material
is thoroughly soaked by the thermosetting resin.
- The fiber is formed to the
desired geometric shape and pulled into a heated steel die where
the
resin cure is cured.
- The laminate solidifies in the exact shape of the die,
as it is continuously pulled by the
pultrusion machine.
